On this My very first Mother's day, today the 10th may 2015, I am overwhelmed with emotions and have so many expectations and thoughts on the kind of mother that I want and vow to be to you.

I believe that Mother's day is a Day for celebrating Mothers, and been a mother is more than just bringing a child into this world. Therefore with me only having been your mother for 3 weeks, I have not achieved much worthy of been celebrated therefore I choose to spend this day in thoughts and prayers of the kind of mother that I hope to be to you.

On this day, a day so significant to many mothers around the world, I vow to be a mother that is worthy of this day to you. I pray that God will give me the wisdom to raise you up in the ways of the Lord. I pray that the Almighty will fill me up with an unlimited supply of unconditional love that I may always Love you unconditionally all my days in this world as your mother.

Writing this letter to you brings so much tears into my eyes, As I gaze over and look at your beautiful face as you sleep so peacefully in your cot, I feel a sense of pride and gratefulness that to God for choosing me to bring life into this world and not just any life but a precious beautiful daughter like you are Abigail.

My prayer to God is that I will give you all that I never had and that you may be all that I never was. I prayer for the spirit of patience to be able to listen to you, I pray that I will be your very best friend, the one that you will call or come to in good times and in bad times.

I pray that I will be your shoulder to cry on, that we will cry together and laugh together. I pray that I and your father will raise you up to be a strong, caring, loving, Godly young woman who will make a difference in this world one day.

I pray that you will call me and your father blessed. I will love you Abigail, all the days of my life, I will pray for you even with my dying breath. I will think of you with the dawn of each day and every night as I put my head on the pillow.
